A Brief History

The oldest church in the Bronx with a regular ministry, Fordham Manor Church received its charter from the king of England in 1696. Early members of the church such as the Claflins, Valentines and Briggs gave their names to streets in our area. Even a local intermediate school is named after Fordham Manor Church's third pastor, John Peter Tetard.
